Empty Ecstasy - The Friday Noght After Dinner Holiday Music Series. 8:30 No Cover.
Liz Springer & Built for Comfort. Saturday December 12th
Friday December 11TH. Snakehead Run plays an infectious, driving variety of old-time acoustic music that often has audiences tapping their toes and dancing. Specializing in authentic blues jug and string band music that you might have heard on a street corner or juke joint in New Orleans, Memphis, or Louisville early in the last century we try to introduce listeners to where some of todayís music comes from, blending both the old and the new. Occasionally some modern roots tunes and originals are thrown in. From acoustic to plugged in, all shows are tailored to the venue and audience. We can be found entertaining crowds anywhere from the streets "busking", to farmer's markets and arts/crafts fairs, to the pub's and bars, to private parties and functions across the Washington Baltimore Region.
live music is good for just about everything: stress, your sense of humor, your peace of mind and most especially for your 'head'. We all remember Grace Slick singing that song. Friends, nothing has changed. The revolution is not over. Goodness. If you fail to 'feed your head', you may even forget to smile and say hey to your friends. Life is cooler than that. Drop by with your friends on Thursday nights to play, or on the weekends to hang out in a real joint. So let's just say that we dig musicians of all ages coming to the outta the way cafe and grooving on their music. Of course we also dig 'capitalism', so if you're feeling munched out, the outta the way's chicken wings are the world's best and the rest of the menu is top quality american food. we guarantee you won't be disappointed
